A former Inuit art curator at the McMichael, Susan Gustavison returns to the West Baffin Eskimo Co-operative collection with the exhibition Whales’ Tails and Other Tales: Cape Dorset’s Pudlat Family, evolving around one of the most prominent Inuit artists whose drawings, prints, and sculptures reflect the life of the community coming to terms with profound social changes from 1950 to the 1980s. To complete the story, McMichael’s Assistant Curator Sharona Adamowicz–Clements will comment on her exhibition Where Do We Come From? What Are We? Where Are We Going?
