Changing Tides, Art Encounter with Patricia Grattan and Pam Hall

Discover the vibrant Newfoundland and Labrador artistic community with Patricia Grattan, curator of the exhibition Changing Tides: Contemporary Art of Newfoundland and Labrador, and Pam Hall, an interdisciplinary visual artist, filmmaker, and writer. This public discussion will explore the role of "place" in the contemporary art of Newfoundland and Labrador. Registration Required

Newfoundland Jazz Ceilidh with Heather Bambrick and Friends

The concert will include opening remarks about the exhibition Changing Tides: Contemporary Art of Newfoundland and Labrador at 2:00 pm. From 3:00 to 4:00 pm, an informal discussion entitled “Meet the Curator and Artists” will be held in the gallery spaces. Included with gallery admission.

Exploring Newfoundland Art

Explore Newfoundland through music, stories, and art, including a hooked rug workshop. At 1:30 pm, Pam Hall will read from her award winning children's book On the Edge of the Eastern Ocean, as well as from Al Pittman’s Down by Jim Long’s Stage. From 2:30 to 3:30 pm, don't miss the folk music performance Stories and Songs of Where We Come From with Gord Simmons and What the Folk.
