Liona Boyd's The Return...to Canada with Love

THIS CONCERT IS SOLD OUT

Liona Boyd, known as "The First Lady of Guitar", will deliver a special performance of songs from her latest album The Return...to Canada with Love, at the McMichael on Thursday, July 10 at 8 pm in the intimate setting of the Woodland Gallery.

Ms. Boyd Returns to the McMichael

In 1988, Liona Boyd was invited by Mila Mulroney to perform at the McMichael as part of the World Economic Summit, leaving her with fond memories of the gallery and a desire to one day return to this very special performance space. Inspired by Canada's art and national spirit, this unique concert brings together music and the artist's personal reminiscences.

Ms. Boyd has given concerts around the globe and has played for numerous world leaders, including the British Royal Family, the King and Queen of Spain, Presidents of the United States and Mexico, Prime Ministers of Canada, France, and Britain, and the Chancellor of Germany.

She has toured with Gordon Lightfoot and Tracy Chapman, and recorded with Chet Atkins, Eric Clapton, David Gilmore, Roger Whittaker, Sir Andrew Davis and the English Chamber Orchestra, Yo-Yo Ma, Georges Zamfir, and Michael Kamen.

Ms. Boyd has won five JUNO Awards, The Vanier Award, received five honorary doctorates, and was named to the Order of Canada and the Order of Ontario.

Don't miss this rare opportunity to enjoy a performance by one of Canada's most celebrated musicians in the intimate setting of the McMichael gallery.
