Welcome to the McMichael
The McMichael Canadian Art Collection is the only major gallery with a mandate to collect, preserve and celebrate Canadian art exclusively. We tell stories about the country through our permanent collection, special exhibitions, community outreach, educational and public programming. The McMichael has over 6,500 distinctive works in the permanent collection and welcomes more than 110,000 visitors annually.
We host weddings, corporate meetings, banquets, and hold a spectacular annual Moonlight Gala in early June.
Located on 100 acres of forested land with trails along the Humber River, the McMichael is built of fieldstone and hand-hewn logs in a modernist design. The gallery is a pilgrimage site for the Group of Seven, with a powerful collection of their paintings and drawings. It is also home to the Tom Thomson Shack and the place of rest of six of the seven core Group of Seven painters and their spouses.
Corporate membership ensures that your company enjoys exclusive access to benefits not available to the public. From free admission to private tours and entertaining privileges, the McMichael will provide your clients and employees with memorable engagement opportunities in a unique environment. Your corporate membership will enable you and your guests to experience the best of Canadian arts and culture.
We hope you will join our roster of esteemed corporate members and let us show you what the McMichael can do for you!
Proceeds from corporate memberships go directly toward the conservation and preservation of the 6500 artworks in the permanent collection. From works by Tom Thomson, the Group of Seven and their contemporaries, First Nations, Metis, Inuit and contemporary artists, these works represent an important part of our cultural heritage and identity as Canadians.
