Culture Days is a national celebration of arts and culture that fosters appreciation and support of the arts; promotes interaction between artists and their community; and, affirms that every citizen is the guardian of arts and culture in their community. Vaughan residents of all ages are invited to experience FREE activities offered by cultural groups, organizations and artists from Vaughan.
In celebration of Canada’s 150th anniversary, municipalities across Canada are planning events, projects and programming throughout the commemorative year. The City of Vaughan, along with the Canada 150 Celebration Task Force, artists, community groups and businesses, have joined forces to host special events, community festivals and activities for all to enjoy!
Culture Days at the McMichael is a unique opportunity for the whole family to discover the latest innovative exhibitions through the public tours and enjoy art making through O’ Canada, a family drop-in art workshop inspired by the mixed-media works of Joyce Wieland currently on view at the gallery.
