Margaux Williamson: Interiors
Virtual Curatorial Talk
Tuesday, November 9
6 pm EST
About the event
While women artists of the early twentieth century are known for depicting interior spaces as places of privacy and domestic quietude, Margaux Williamson’s interiors describe spaces of creativity, subjectivity and anarchic experimentation. This curatorial conversation between Williamson and Jessica Bradley, the exhibition’s curator, explores the artist’s distinctive way of understanding and depicting the tension between private and public realms. The exchange will be moderated by the McMichael’s Chief Curator, Sarah Milroy.
