Spring: March 30 to June 2* (8 classes; no class on April 20 or May 18)
Fall: September 21 to November 16 (8 classes; no class on October 12)
Registration required. Fee per 8-week session: $199 general public; $159 McMichael members.
Ages 5 – 12. Saturdays, 10 am to 12 pm.
These popular children’s art classes offer a creative exploration of various art mediums, encourage skill development, cultivate art appreciation and introduce children to THE ART OF CANADA through in-gallery activities. Facilitated by professional art instructors, children will be divided into age-appropriate groups to be determined upon registration.
SAM Youth Art Classes: Drawing & Painting

Ages 13 – 15. Saturdays, 12:30 to 2:30 pm.
Emphasizing the artistic process from a preliminary drawing to a final masterpiece, this class will challenge and hone skills in art fundamentals with a focus on drawing and painting. The instructor will answer questions, provide tips on building an art-school portfolio, and address what it takes to apply to post-secondary art programs.
