PROGRAM SCHEDULE
Drop-in Art Workshop
Saturday, December 30 and Sunday, December 31, 11 am to 4 pm
Get the party started early! Take part in New Year’s themed art activities to celebrate the joy and happiness that a new beginning brings.
Participants can choose to do one, the other, or both of the following activities!
New Year’s Celebratory Hats
Use watercolour crayons, tissue paper, glue, and other materials to create a unique New Year’s themed hat incorporating bright colours, wacky designs, and celebratory imagery. If attending a New Year’s Eve party, this hat will be a perfect item to wear during the countdown!
Mini Sketchbooks for the New Year
Inspired by Alex Janvier’s abstract lines and gestures, use watercolour crayons to make a unique sketchbook cover that illustrates your hopes, wishes, and promises for the coming year. Then, bind the book together with thread or staples. Start filling the pages by writing or sketching your response to the artworks on display in the gallery.
