Included in the exhibition were more than fifty drawings and paintings from the National Gallery of Canada as well as from other Canadian museums and private collections.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Jean Paul Lemieux was born in Quebec City in 1904. While his earlier landscapes were influenced by the aesthetic of the Group of Seven and the American Social Realist painters, by the 1950s he had defined his own vision in landscape.<\/p>\n<p><span data-sheets-value=\"{\" data-sheets-userformat=\"{\">Organized by the National Gallery of Canada and the Mus\u00e9e national des beaux-arts du Qu\u00e9bec in collaboration with Anne Sophie Lemieux and Madeleine Lacerte.
