Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Payroll & Accounting Coordinator is responsible for processing Payroll every two weeks, via Ceridian DayForce and Power Pay, for approximately 40 salaried and 80 hourly staff.  When not processing Payroll, this position will support general accounting and administrative duties, including accounting reconciliations, data compilation, filing, and reporting, and serve as the system coordinator for operational systems (event ticketing and point of sale), setting up programs, producing reports, and reconciling data and cash flows.


Qualified candidates will have 3 years payroll experience or relevant training/education, and a good understanding of Canadian payroll principles (source deductions, taxes, remittances, etc.); experience working with Ceridian Dayforce and PowerPay payroll are preferred.

A basic understanding of accounting/bookkeeping activities, processes, systems and procedures is required, with excellent computer and administrative skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office applications. Collaboration and communication skills (written and verbal) are necessary for the role. Experience working in a non-profit environment an asset.

Hours of work will be approximately 21 hours per week, to a maximum of 28 hours per week when required. Work will be primarily on site with some remote options once fully trained.  Rate of pay is $22.00/hr.
