Be part of the magic this holiday season
at the McMichael!

This holiday season, we’re pleased to invite your family to participate in the Winter Family Art Challenge! In this special edition of ArtVenture Online, children will explore the McMichael’s current exhibitions, “A Like Vision”: The Group of Seven at 100, Early Days: Indigenous Art at the McMichael, and Uprising: The Power of Mother Earth through a variety of virtual art activities.
Beginning on Monday, December 21, the McMichael will share a series of short videos on our social media channels, including Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook, that will introduce children to exhibitions on view at the Gallery. Each video will include a thematically linked interactive art project that your child will be encouraged to follow, using materials easily found around the home. Every video will challenge your budding artist to respond to the artwork in the McMichael’s collection by creating an artwork of his or her own!
Join the McMichael Online Community and Win!
From December 21 through January 10, join the McMichael online community for a chance to win one of five McMichael Family Memberships! Simply snap a photo of your completed artwork and share it on Instagram by using the hashtag #McMichaelwinterartchallenge and tagging the Gallery. On January 15, the McMichael will randomly select five winners to receive complimentary McMichael Family Memberships! Memberships will be honoured upon the McMichael’s reopening.
