Create lasting memories against the backdrop of the McMichael’s iconic heritage buildings, sculpture garden, and picturesque woodland setting.
Wedding and special event photography is welcome on the McMichael grounds with an official photo permit. Each permit includes a two-hour booking, with up to 30 minutes at each photography location. Please note that drones are not permitted anywhere on the property.

The Perfect Location for Every Occasion
With its majestic location and top service standards, the experienced staff at the McMichael take pride in personalising each event to be a magnificent and memorable experience.
No two events are the same, and our energetic and enthusiastic team are dedicated to creating unique and incredible experiences and ensuring the planning process is smooth and stress-free. From the itinerary to the floor plan, our on-site planners make sure even the smallest details are perfect so you can simply relax and enjoy. Your guests can tour the galleries before of after the ceremony and enjoy both indoor and outdoor locations (and of course, we can change on the fly to accommodate for unexpected weather).
The hilltop overlooks the 100 acres of Humber River Valley conservation land and is the perfect location for an outdoor wedding ceremony. The hilltop is a relaxing environment for company picnics and get-togethers. Provisions can be provided for up to 150 people.
Indoor option is available in case of inclement weather.

With its Cathedral ceiling, hewn logs, stone architecture and a panoramic view of the Humber River Valley, the Grand Hall is the perfect space for a unique reception location. The Grand Hall accommodates up to 150 guests for a formal dinner, with dancing, and offset by the front courtyard, perfect for outdoor cocktail receptions.

With its vaulted ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the forested valley, this unique facility in the main gallery will include the artwork from our current exhibition. The hand-hewn wooden bench and totem poles are both from British Columbia.
