Formed in 2007 by Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra violist Janz Castelo, the critically acclaimed Buffalo Chamber Players are known for exploring both historical chamber music masterworks as well as contemporary works. They currently serve as the ensemble-in-residence at the Albright-Knox Art Gallery in Buffalo, New York. In this concert program, the ensemble will present works by American composers active in the first half of the 20th century, during the time of synaesthetic experimentation in both music and visual arts. The critically acclaimed Buffalo Chamber Players are known for exploring both historical chamber music masterworks as well as contemporary works. The repertoire will include select pieces from Samuel Barber, John Cage, Aaron Copland, Ruth Crawford Seeger, and Dane Rudyar.
