Day at the Gallery
Dates: Thursday, March 5
Time: 8:30 am to 4 pm
Cost: $35 per child
Ages: 5* to 12
Developed to provide meaningful engagement for children during the upcoming school service interruptions, this program combines art studio activities and gallery visits with healthy outdoor hikes and games. Day at the Gallery is a perfect introduction to the McMichael’s art camp programming and, for ArtVenture camp veterans, an opportunity to return to the gallery for a day of art making and fun!
*Must be 5 years old by December, 2020.
Important Notes
- The McMichael’s programs provide an inclusive environment. Students with special needs are welcomed. Please note, however, that the McMichael is not in a position to provide a support worker.
- If a school strike is averted prior to the program’s date, all fees will be reimbursed.
- If the school interruptions extend to subsequent weeks, the McMichael will continue to provide the Day at the Gallery programming. Appropriate information will be sent to parents as soon as the affected dates are announced.
Day at the Gallery for High School Students
Date: Tuesday, January 22
Time: 10 am to 4 pm
Cost: Free with a student card
Ages: 14 to 19
An opportunity to visit the McMichael and enjoy a day out of the city. The day will include a special Young at Art public tour of the exhibitions on view combined with a short in-gallery art making activity at 1 pm.
Registration not required. Those interested in joining are asked to register upon arrival on January 22.
