Get ready to tap your toes! Enjoy the smooth sounds of swing with music by jazz legends Duke Ellington and Count Basie, plus exciting selections from the traditional Cuban jazz repertoire—all performed by the next generation of jazz talent.
About Toronto Jazz Academy Orchestra
Established in 2021, Toronto Jazz Academy has quickly become a meeting place for students who enjoy playing and learning about the great traditions of jazz music.
Under the direction of Musical Director Jules Estrin and passionate faculty of well-known Toronto jazz musicians, students focus on the fundamentals of their instrument, ensemble skills, improvisation and theory. Throughout the year, the orchestra performs at venues across the city, showcasing their passion and skills in both small combos and full ensembles.
