2-Day Workshop
10 am to 4:30 pm
Instructor: Shelly Burke
Level: Open to all skill levels. Our experienced instructor will adapt her teaching style to her students’ experience.
Program Description
An inspirational weekend workshop devoted to drawing one of the most complex subjects in art – the nude human body. With demos and guidance from award winning artist, Shelly Burke, beginners and more advanced participants will learn how to approach figure drawing in simple, “block-in” and fluid gestures to achieve the essence of the model.
This is not a rigid, academic format, but rather an opportunity to enjoy all the exciting mark making an artist can achieve with the figure as a powerful theme. Lighting will be considered seriously to illuminate the model, in order to cast shadows and create a more dynamic drawing.
