Generations: The Sobey Family and Canadian Art, Virtual Curatorial Talk

Wednesday, February 23 | 7 pm EST

About the Event

Join McMichael Chief Curator Sarah Milroy for a virtual tour through the exhibition Generations: The Sobey Family and Canadian Art. The exhibition is built around unexpected pairings and submerged histories, told through this extraordinary gathering of more than 170 works — from 19th-century settler artists through to the Quebec Impressionists and Ontario’s Group of Seven, Canadian luminaries like Emily Carr, David Milne and William Kurelek, and onward to the leading Indigenous artists of today. Works by Kent Monkman and Cornelius Krieghoff come face to face at last in this once-in-a-lifetime show!

Free. Registration required.
