Artmaking Workshop
Making Windows Bird Safe
Instructors: Iris Häussler & Victoria Taylor
Join artist Iris Häussler and landscape architect Victoria Taylor for an inspiring day of artmaking and environmental awareness at the McMichael.
This hands-on workshop explores how birds navigate both natural landscapes and human-built environments—and what we can do to help them.
Each year, an estimated 25 million birds in Canada die from window collisions. In this workshop, you’ll learn about this urgent issue and discover creative, practical ways to mitigate bird strikes in your own community.
Drawing inspiration from the McMichael’s surrounding natural environment, participants will create works that blend art and advocacy.
