In this guided tour, visitors will learn will learn about the colourful art of Norval Morrisseau. Also known as Copper Thunderbird, he rose to fame in the 1960s when he developed the unique painting style known then as the Woodland School. Today this art style is called Anishnaabe painting, a reference to the artist’s heritage. The Anishnaabe style, with its unique pictographic style has influenced many other Indigenous artists.

Ghosts of Canoe Lake: New Work by Marcel Dzama celebrates a new body of work inspired by the artist’s interest in Tom Thomson and the Group of Seven, recalling his childhood spent in the landscape of Manitoba and Saskatchewan.
