Celebrate National Aboriginal Day at the McMichael! All related events on this day are free and open to the public. Enjoy heritage trail walks led by the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA), family story walks from Vaughan Public Libraries, storytelling and workshops in the McMichael’s gallery spaces, and live performances by two-time hoop dancing world champion Lisa Odjig, and the Manitou Mkwa Singers.

A Land Acknowledgment Ceremony with Elder Jim Dumont will take place in the Sculpture Garden at 11am; from 6-6:45pm are the iPad workshops, heritage hike, and storywalks, and the performance is at 7pm.

The National Aboriginal Day Celebration at the McMichael is brought to you by the City of Vaughan, Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA), the McMichael Canadian Art Collection, and Vaughan Public Libraries. 

* The gallery will be open after regular hours, and admission is free from 5 to 7 pm.
