About the talk

Offered by Sophie Lavoie, the first curator of the newly opened Douglas Family Art Centre in Kenora, Ontario. This unique presentation will focus on Walter J. Phillips’ printmaking and watercolours which expresses his emotional connection to the Lake of Woods region, an area that the artist consistently visited with his family over several summers and which inspired a series of works on view at the McMichael from February 15 to May 10, 2020.
