Bilingual Bracelet-Making Workshop

Led by Innu artist and designer Raphaëlle Langevin, this hands-on workshop will invite children to create their own bracelet inspired by traditional First Nations breastplates.

About the artist

Raphaëlle Langevin is an Indigenous fashion designer, a member of the Pekuakamiulnuatsh community of Mashteuiatsh, and a mother of two. Creative and ambitious, she founded Matsheshu Créations to provide a platform for First Nations craftswomen and contribute to the economic development of her community. Through her handcrafted jewelry collections, beading kits, and clothing, Raphaëlle shares First Nations ancestral techniques and knowledge with the next generation.

Huron-Wendat Creation Story—Performance by Dominic Ste-Marie

Discover Huron-Wendat culture and identity through an engaging storytelling performance by Dominic Ste-Marie, a Wendat storyteller and cultural educator. Dominic will share a traditional Creation Story and invite audiences into a conversation about the meaning, origins, and ongoing importance of legends within Wendat culture.

About the Artist

Dominic Ste-Marie is a proud member of the Wendat Nation from the Yanariskwa (Wolf) clan. A skilled storyteller, guide interpreter, speaker, and voice narrator, Dominic passionately shares his culture through traditional Wendat legends and mythology.
