Inspired by the environmental message of the McMichael’s new exhibition The Uses of Enchantment, this Sunday’s programming will take a closer look at our fragile natural environment and encourage participants to come up with some creative ideas about how to protect and save Mother Earth.

Give it Back to Earth – Drop-in Family Art Workshop
Time: 11 am to 4 pm
Location: Education Space
All Ages
This nature-themed activity invites families to reflect on the beauty and wonders of the planet while offering an imaginative lens through which to view the landscape. Visitors will have the opportunity to create a sun catcher and complete them with three goals and wishes for how they will interact with and work to protect the Earth.
Saving the World One Drop at a Time – Storytelling Circle
Time: 11:15 am, 12:15 pm and 1:15 pm
Location: Starting in the Grand Hall

Explore whimsical and enchanting artworks by contemporary artists who are bringing attention to the human causes of climate change, species and habitat loss, and environmental degradation through their art. Find hope in the story of a little hummingbird from Michael Yahgulaanas’ book for children about how even the littlest creature can help a burning forest.
McMichael Highlights Tour
Time: 12:30 to 1:30 pm, and 2 to 3 pm
Location: Starting in the Grand Hall

This highlights tour focuses on the McMichael’s famed collection of Canadian art including paintings by the Group of Seven and their contemporaries, modern Inuit and Indigenous art, and contemporary art by emerging Canadian artists.
