About the event

With a brilliant natural backdrop of autumn colours, the McMichael’s grounds are the perfect place for children to celebrate the Halloween season.

This October, we invite young children between the ages of 7 and 12 to join the McMichael’s Halloween Storytelling Circle. Led by Bonnie Marcus, an accomplished storyteller and fan favourite, this program will consist of a one-hour studio art activity at our Pine Cottage Studio followed by a storytelling walk exploring the McMichael’s outdoor art installations and historical sites. Bonnie will share the curious tales and mysterious legends drawn from the McMichael’s storied past. At the conclusion of the program, participants will take home their very own paper lantern to light up on Halloween night.

Halloween costumes are welcome! Be as creative as you like, but please remember to wear your COVID mask! 

*Please note that parents and guardians will not be able to accompany their children in this program. Families are welcome to explore our grounds or purchase a timed ticket to visit our current exhibitions while their children enjoy the Storytelling Circle.
