Program Description
This online class will be taught live through the Zoom platform by artist Andrew Sookrah and will allow artists to refine their technique in the subjects and styles of their choice. Sookrah will offer live demonstrations of watercolours, water-mixable oils and acrylics as well as guidance on artists’ projects. Topics covered include mastering perspective, reflections in water, patterns, texture, skies and clouds, dramatic light, depth and negative space, with special attention given to basic drawing techniques such as composition, colour, texture and effective brushstrokes.

An internet connection, microphone and camera-enabled computer or smartphone is required. This class will be delivered via the video conferencing app Zoom. You do not require a Zoom account to participate; the link to access the class will be sent to you in advance.

About the Instructor
Andrew Sookrah is a professional artist and an elected member of the Canadian Society of Painters in Watercolour, the Society of Canadian Artists, the Ontario Society of Artists, and the Portrait Society of Canada. He uses a combination of painting demonstrations and individual guidance to create a fun, supportive and collaborative atmosphere.
