Led by Emily Pleasance, an artist and certified Nature & Forest Therapy Guide, this program is designed to help you slow down, drop into the body, and better connect with yourself and the natural world. Inspired by the Japanese practice of ‘Shinrin-Yoku’, Forest Therapy draws on the interconnectedness humans have with our natural environment. Through embodiment and relaxation practices, it will teach you how to see nature as a supportive resource.
Workshop offers artists the opportunity to explore and expand their artistic vocabulary into the abstract realm. Artist and instructor Lydia Panart will guide participants through the process of examining a provided image from different points of view to develop a personalized, abstract response. Through visual explanations, technique demonstrations, and one-on-one feedback, Lydia will help students discover the layering process that is crucial to bring their images to life. This program is suitable for those with previous painting experience looking to enhance their artistic voice.
