Cost: $240 for public, and $192 McMichael Members.
Please note that there are no classes on Saturday, April 16 for Easter.
Ages 5 to 6
Saturdays, 10 am to 12 pm (EST) NEW!*
The McMichael is pleased to announce that we have extended our popular Saturdays at the McMichael art classes to include younger participants. Young artists between the ages of 5 and 6 can join an experienced McMichael instructor and learn the basics of drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture, mixed media, collage and more. SAM classes help to stimulate creativity and build art making skills, in an environment that is safe, fun and fulfilling. Art activities are complemented by gallery tours, stories, games, and exploring the natural beauty of the surrounding Humber River Valley.
Ages 6 to 12
Saturdays, 10 am to 12 pm (EST)
These popular children’s art classes offer a creative exploration of various art mediums, encourage skill development, cultivate art appreciation and introduce children to the art of Canada through in-gallery activities. Facilitated by professional art instructors, children will be divided into age-appropriate groups to be determined upon registration.
The safety and health of our students and staff remain our top priority
We have implemented a number of measures to ensure the health and safety of every student enrolled in our Saturdays at the McMichael classes. Our staff continue the proper cleaning and sanitation practices. Additionally, each learning space will be equipped with hand sanitation stations and a sink for thorough hand washing. We kindly request that all parents and guardians review current health guidelines with their child prior to the start of the session.
