The Tom Thomson Guitar, the culmination of the McMichael’s 2017 Group of Seven Guitar Project, has finally entered the McMichael’s permanent collection. Created through an artistic collaboration of all seven luthiers involved in the 2017 project, this baritone guitar is a peerless musical instrument and an exquisite fine art object. We are delighted to have six of the luthiers join us for a conversation about the genesis of Tom Thomson Guitar, followed by a performance by the duo Twin Flames in which the instrument will be played.
Speakers: Linda Manzer, Grit Laskin, Tony Duggan-Smith, George Gray, Sergei de Jong and David Wren
Moderator: Sarah Milroy
