While visitors are welcome to document their visit with personal photography or film, posed and staged personal photo shoots are not permitted in the galleries. Commercial and outdoor wedding photo/film permits are outlined below.

The McMichael Canadian Art Collection welcomes news media filming and photography in connection with stories about the Gallery. Media inquiries should be sent to our Media and Communications Associate.
Commercial Filming Permits (Film, Television, Documentary)
The McMichael Canadian Art Collection is available as a location for film, television, documentary, or Internet productions, including product and fashion shoots. To inquire about commercial filming permits, please contact our Associate Director of Sales.
Outdoor Wedding Photography
We offer photo and video permits for weddings, engagements, and other events on our picturesque grounds between 10 am and 4 pm. Please contact photopermits@mcmichael.com to inquire about pricing and availability.
Documentaries / Student Films / Personal Projects
We are currently unable to accommodate student films and personal projects.
Live Streaming Video Apps
Live-streaming video applications are not permitted in the Gallery spaces.
Gallery Photography
While at the McMichael, visitors may be photographed by Gallery staff photographers or other authorized parties. These images may be used to publicize the Gallery and its activities in print, online, and in display materials, and they may also be distributed to the media. Attendance on the Gallery premises constitutes implied consent for the use of visitors’ likenesses in the Gallery’s promotional materials.
