McMichael Virtual Speaker Series
Thursday, July 8, 2021
7 pm (EST)
About the talk
Tom Thomson mysteriously disappeared on July 8, 1917, during a canoeing trip on Canoe Lake. On the anniversary of Thomson’s disappearance, the McMichael’s Executive Director, Ian Dejardin, will take another look at the art and life of this iconic Canadian artist. Focusing on some of the most loved of Tom Thomson’s works, the presentation will look carefully at what we actually know, what we think we know, and what his art can tell us.
