Art and Nature Workshops

This relaxing workshop combines close looking at art with artmaking and the Japanese tradition of shinrin yoku (forest bathing).

Each session begins with focused art viewing and an intention circle in the galleries, followed by a silent, meditative walk through the McMichael grounds. Back in the studio, participants will reflect on their experience by creating a piece of art inspired by the natural environment. The program will conclude with an art-sharing circle.

Please dress appropriately to be outdoors for an extended period of time. We suggest bringing comfortable walking shoes, sunscreen, and insect repellent in the summer, and boots, toques, and gloves in the winter.

Art materials, water/tea, and a light snack are included.

Registration required. Includes Gallery Admission.

Ticket sales are non-refundable.
