About the event

A conversation between McMichael Chief Curator Sarah Milroy and Tarralik Duffy, Inuit artist and writer, this virtual event will focus on Ishulutaq’s remarkable oil stick drawings created during the last years of her life. In these dramatic often large-scale works, Ishulutaq portrayed her memories of her early days living on the land, and the powerful changes that affected her community of Pangnirtung.
